macOS Mojave ….! Finally, after waiting for a long period of three months Apple has revealed macOS Mojave 10.14. Every year apple comes with a new version of macOS, iOS, etc and they showcase their new features during the Apple event (WWDC). This year apple comes with macOS Mojave. This version of macOS comes with many more cool features which amaze apple fans but they stop supporting older Graphics such as Intel HD 3000 / 2000 Graphics which annoys people who still using older Graphics. This is guide is for those guys. Here I will show you how to enable Graphics acceleration. So let’s start to install macOS Mojave on Intel 3000 / 2000 Graphics

macOS Mojave on Intel 3000 / 2000 ( SandyBridge and Arrandale )

Intel 1st Generation CPUs are having intel 2000 Graphics which include the following CPU

  • Intel Core i3-330M
  • Intel Core i3-350M
  • Intel Core i5-450M
  • Intel Core i5-520M
  • Intel Core i5-540M
  • Intel Core i7-620M

Other Downloadable Links

  • macOS Sierra Direct Download
  • OS X El Capitan Direct Download
  • OS X Yosemite Direct Download
  • OS X Mavericks Direct Download
  • OS X Mountain Lion Direct Download
  • OS X Lion Direct Download

This is the Laptop CPU but you can take a Reference from Intel site. As far as I know, to enable the Intel Graphics you need to have the following kext that enables Graphics acceleration

  • AppleIntelHDGraphicsFB.kext
  • AppleIntelHDGraphicsGA.plugin
  • AppleIntelHDGraphicsGLDriver.bundle
  • AppleIntelHDGraphicsVADriver.bundle

Apple has stopped supporting those Graphics since after Yosemite so you can extract those kext from Yosemite. And From macOS Mojave Apple has stopped supporting Intel HD 3000 graphics. This kext enables the Intel HD 3000 Graphics.

  • AppleIntelHD3000Graphics.kext
  • AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsGA.plugin
  • AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsGLDriver.bundle
  • AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsVADriver.bundle
  • AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext
  • AppleIntelSNBVA.bundle

To enable the Graphics Acceleration of Intel 3000 Graphics you need to roll back those kext from macOS Sierra.

Quick Note:- To enable older Graphics simply roll back Intel Graphics Kext from Yosemite and macOS Sierra and copy to /System/Library/Extensions/ and rebuilt the cache.
